OmniRide Recognized by Best Workplaces for Commuters in 2026

OmniRide is excited to share that for the second consecutive year, we have been named as one of the Best Workplaces for Commuters (BWC). This recognition acknowledges organizations that promote environmentally and economically friendly transportation choices. To qualify, members must meet the BWC "Standard of Excellence," which entails providing high-level transportation benefits for their organization, university, college, residential site, or multi-employer site.

“Being recognized as a Best Place to Work for Commuters again underscores our commitment to fostering a workplace that prioritizes employee well-being and enables employees to succeed both with their commutes and their careers," said Joe Stainsby, Chief Development Officer. “We are honored to receive this recognition.”

OmniRide’s commuter benefits program includes:

OmniRide applied for the BWC program in August 2024, and by the fall of that year, we became the first organization in Prince William County to receive this designation! We are not alone in this achievement; Micron Technology Inc. was recognized as one of the Best Workplaces for Commuters in 2025.

OmniRide looks forward to helping more employers in the Prince William County region gain the BWC designation. This recognition is designed to acknowledge and support innovative employers that provide transportation benefits to reduce traffic, enhance productivity, and promote sustainable commuting options for their workforce. We work with local businesses to assist them in achieving this designation, and we would like to highlight and congratulate the new 2026 designees in our area:

As a regional public transit agency, OmniRide’s Employer Services program helps local businesses establish and expand commuter benefits programs for their employees. Our services are available free of charge to all businesses in the Prince William County area. We can assist with emergency preparation, carpool and vanpool formation, telework programs, alternative work schedules, and more.
