NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

The Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC) has scheduled two public hearings on proposed changes to commuter and local OmniRide services.

OmniRide Express Services
Tuesday, October 13, 2026, 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Bull Run Regional Library Community Room
8051 Ashton Avenue, Manassas, VA

A public hearing will be held on proposed new OmniRide Express services and a proposed change to an existing commuter route. The new services would be fully funded either by the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC) I-66 Commuter Choice program or the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DPRT). The proposals include:

  • A new route between Gainesville – NoMA/Union Station
  • A new route between Manassas – Vienna
  • Splitting Route 612 into two separate routes: one between Gainesville-Navy Yard, and the other between Warrenton-Pentagon with possible select trips extended to Culpeper.

OmniRide Local Services
Thursday, October 15, 2026, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Stonebridge Parking Garage, 2450 Neabsco Stream Drive, Woodbridge, VA

A public hearing will be held on proposed changes to local Route 51 (Dumfries Local) and Route 94 (Lake Ridge Connector).

  • Route 51 is proposed to be discontinued. Alternate service would be provided by increased peak frequencies on Route 52 (Route 1 Local) and Route 53 (Dumfries Connector) as well as an expanded microtransit zone to cover areas currently only accessible on Route 51.
  • Route 94 is proposed to be shortened to only operate between NOVA-Woodbridge and the Tackett’s Mill Shopping Center. Service between NOVA-Woodbridge and the Rippon VRE station would be replaced by a new microtransit zone, allowing passengers to travel within the new zone or access local buses at NOVA-Woodbridge.

Comments will be accepted during the public hearings or may be emailed to publichearing@omniride.com. Written comments also may be mailed to PRTC Public Hearing, 14700 Potomac Mills Road, Woodbridge, VA  22192. All mailed/emailed comments must be received no later than October 22, 2026, at 5:00 pm.

Individuals who require special assistance to participate in the public hearings (such as a sign language interpreter, foreign language interpreter, or the presentation in an alternate format such as Braille) should contact OmniRide no later than September 18, 2026, at 5:00 pm, at publichearing@omniride.com or 703-580-6122.
