Outreach and Engagement Specialist - OmniRide

OmniRide, a public transportation agency located in Prince William County, Virginia, is seeking an energetic and creative Outreach and Engagement Specialist to join our Marketing team and lead community outreach efforts, develop and maintain strong community relationships, and promote OmniRide services through in-person and traditional communication efforts throughout the designated service area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build out event calendar and participate in community outreach events and public engagement activities.
• Identify and maintain relationships with community members and stakeholders to increase brand awareness.
• Expand the Ride-Along and Travel Training Program throughout the community and in designated service areas to increase ridership.
• Develop written communications, including presentations, emails, flyers and brochures that highlight OmniRide services and community involvement.
• Revises schedule brochures, including proofing and coordination with Planning and Operations team.
• Collaborate with internal teams on special projects and rider outreach initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Customer Service, Public Relations, Education, or a related field.
• Experience in marketing, communications, public outreach, or events.
• Ability to work independently with moderate guidance, integrating team and company-wide goals in everyday activities.
• Strong organization, editing, and communication skills.
• Valid Virginia driver's license required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, or another language commonly spoken within the OmniRide service area, is required.
• Ability to work unconventional hours including occasional early mornings, nights, and weekends.

Salary Range:
$72,823 – $94,670 annually, commensurate with experience, plus attractive benefits. This position offers hybrid office/telework after an initial training period, and the home office location is Manassas, VA.
